Flashback to the 50's
Here's one of the unique bikes hanging around the shop. It's a Schwinn Phantom. Yes, the same classic Phantom that every boy wanted to see under the Christmas tree in the 1950's. The Phantom was introduced in 1949 and sold in three colors- black, green and red, with black being the most popular model. This cruiser featured chrome fenders, a working headlight and tail light, horn on the tank, white-wall balloon tires, a luggage rack, springer front-end and a leather seat. The Phantom is eye candy for the bike lover!
The Schwinn Phantom is the ultimate cruiser bike. The demand for retro styled bikes began in the 1990's and Schwinn reproduced these bikes for the company's 100 year anniversary. If you want to ride in style we carry new models from Schwinn and Raleigh that evoke the classic style of the 1950's bicycles.
Happy cruising!
A single-speed bicycle with traditional style
One of the sharpest looking bikes at the shop right now is Raleigh's Rush Hour Flat Bar. It features the classic details of the old wood-track racing bikes. But this one's not for racing- it is appropriate for any type of recreational riding in the city or on the paths. It's the high quality details and retro essence that make this single-speed bike so special.
The Rush Hour embodies traditional, streamlined design. The frame is Reynold 520 butted tubing. It's steel, not aluminum, just like the classic bicycles it was inspired by. It has a flip-flop style rear wheel, which means you have free wheel and direct drive options. The Rush Hour features alloy sealed track hubs and aerodynamic aluminum rims in a baby blue hue that contrast with the bright white tires. One of the nicest details on this bike is the British-made Brooks leather saddle and grips.
One of our most popular bikes is...
... the women's Raleigh Route 3.0
This is the most popular pick for women who are looking for a comfortable hybrid-style bicycle for roads, paths and trails. This bike is built for comfort and has some unique features that make the Route 3.0 a smooth ride. Its upright styling puts the handlebars higher and closer to the body, so no more back pain! Adjustable shocks are found on the fork and seat post to help cushion your ride from bumps. The hand grips are ergonomically designed to fit your palm. Your ride is topped off by a super-soft memory foam saddle.

The frame is made of aluminum so it's light and easy to handle. The Route 3.0 is available in multiple frame sizes for any height rider. Raleigh's "EASE comfort geometry" make this bike comfortable, balanced and stable. The rims are also aluminum, making them strong and light. The tires feature Raleigh's special "Shield", which is a puncture resistant lining to protect against flats.
This beauty is available in pearly white and delicious mint green, both accessorized with a rich chocolate saddle, pedals and hand grips. This model also comes in a men's version that's available in black and grey. Come in to be fitted for your next hybrid bike and give the Route 3.0 a test ride.
Happy riding!
